Frequently Asked Questions
The best way to begin is with a complete kit from Roarockit. It includes everything you need—glue, veneer, mold, Thin Air Press, and tools. If you’re more experienced, you might consider our ProBuilder Kits, which are designed for advanced builders.
We don’t sell wheels or trucks. We recommend taking your finished deck to your local skate shop. They can help you choose the right equipment based on your riding style and preferences.
Not exactly. Building your own skateboard with high-quality Canadian maple or birch, glue, and handmade effort won't necessarily save you money compared to a mass-produced board. However, many parts of the kit are reusable, so the more boards you make, the better the value.
We recommend:
10 years and older for Pre-Shaped Complete Kits
15 years and older for ProBuilder Kits
First-time builders: Around 12.5 hours, including drying time for glue and graphics.
Experienced builders: About 8 hours, spread over a few days.
Note: Your board needs to stay in the Thin Air Press for at least 8 hours before you remove it and start sanding.
Just one at a time. The glue dries quickly once applied, so it’s important to press the board before it begins to set.
With good care and maintenance, your TAP bag can last for years. Eventually, the sealing tape may need replacing, but regular cleaning will help extend its life.
